2. The One-Minute Mindset Reset
Stress and negative thoughts are like quicksand. The more you struggle, the deeper you sink. The secret is learning how to get out quickly.
Your exercise: Next time you feel your mind racing into negative scenarios, stop. Literally. Whatever you’re doing. Close your eyes for 60 seconds. Take three deep, slow breaths. Then, force yourself to think of three things you are grateful for right then. "I’m grateful for my coffee. I’m grateful that I’m healthy. I’m grateful for the message my friend sent me." This small pause breaks the anxiety cycle and brings your mind back to the present.
3. The Habit That "Sticks" on Top of Others
Starting new, good habits is hard. That’s why you "steal." Instead of trying to remember to do something new, just "stack" it on a habit you already have.
The "Habit Stacking" method: Want to read more? "After I make my evening coffee, I’ll read 5 pages of my book." Want to start meditating? "After I brush my teeth, I’ll sit for 2 minutes of meditation." By linking the new with the old, your brain automates it much faster. It’s the ultimate life hack.
